Biography

I was born in year 1980 in beautiful Slovenian city Maribor. I have started my career as a drummer, when I was twelve years old. Back then I saw a movie “Terminator II.”, in which the soundtrack of the band Guns’N'Roses  »You Could Be Mine«, totally impressed me.

Soon I have decided to start visiting music school, and continued upgrading my music knowledge buy taking private lessons, at different music instructors. When I finished Economic High School, I continued at Economic Faculty at the University of Maribor, and graduated with diploma in which I presented “Logistic view of purchasing drums from Japan”. My wish for extra knowledge made me to pass some pedagogical exams at the Faculty of Arts.

When I was 17 I started to teach drums, and up till today, I gave lessons to more than 200 students.  All those years I was active on different music projects, cooperated with different bands and musicians. Working in studio attracted my attention long time ago, which resulted with me working a lot in different studios and recording with various musicians.

At the year 2005 I became local endorser for TAMA drums, which I am using since 1998. I have started presenting drums on my workshops and drum clinics. The whole time I collaborate with local distributor LM TRADE (Slovenia) and it proved successful as a higher sale of TAMA drums and accessories.

In the year 2006 I attend audition, in which there were more than 50 drummers from different European countries, and Slovenian punk rock band Elvis Jackson have chosen me. That was the most important thing in my music career so far. At the moment I am playing drums with Elvis Jackson, I am also active drum teacher on private music school, and helping young musicians as much as I can on their projects, among which I would like to expose successful project Metallica cover band.

On March year 2009 Elvis Jackson published album “Against the Gravity” for the ex-Yugoslavia area and in November the album will be available all around the Europe, though songs are already available through Itunes all around the world. Momentarily we are arranging album distribution for American, Australian and Japanese market.

In June 2009 I have published my first instructional DVD “Basics Of Modern Drumming”, which presents first video Drummer course in Slovenia.
